Editing Completed!

Today we finished our Music Video! Yesterday we received feedback from two of our teachers and they told us some minor details that we needed to change. Today we managed to fix and complete these details ensuring our video was all in sync and the narrative of the story was clear. We also spent time going through each clip in the sequence, adjusting the colour and light to try and get the best quality out of our shots. We think that these minor adjustment may just get us a few extra marks. Fingers crossed!

group meeting #8: Website discussion!

Today we were told about our ancillary products, one of which is to create a website supporting our artist.
We looked at the templates and found that many suited our music genre. Because we all liked different templates we decided we would look at doing our own! This proved to be a positive thing as we used our different skills in our own projects showing variety and technique.
Although we were doing our own websites we all agreed that a simple easy to use format would be best to promote our artist!
By choosing to create separate websites, we can use our individual skills to show the various aspects of our main star, and by creating several aspects of her point of view, her life story and her dreams. Diamond is a one-of-a-kind artist, which we have captured both similarly, with several differences too.

Editing Process Continued....

This section was edited to make it look like a memory, therefore I used a 'watermark' effect and also used a highlighting effect to keep the main focus our romantic couple.
This screenshot was just to show the beginnings of our romantic couples relationship, and the only effect used was a colour sharpen and a natural colour effect, to bring out the natural colours and lighting.
I used a sharpening effect and a lighting effect in this screencap, because the original content was too dark to see and the audience therefore couldn't relate to the characters without clearly seeing their faces.
This is the first stage in which the relationship starts to go wrong, and the only effect used was to bring up the natural lighting.
This is where our main character is throwing her boyfriend out, but we are soon to see that it is a recurring thing and she usually takes him back, as we see her throwing him out again later on in the video.
This is our main female character in the bath, showing the bruises her boyfriend has given her. We used a CUBE transition to cut to the next scene, because it is 3D and hard, like the situation with her boyfriend is.
This is the BIG TWIST in the video. Our female lead reveals that her character is pregant, or could be pregnant, and the shock factor hits the soul of our target audience, who want nothing but our main star to be rid of her boyfriend. (see expression good riddance to bad rubbish.)
This effect is a dip-to-white transition, and it shows either the ebginning of a flashback, or the end of one.
This clip is significant because it refers to the line 'lead me up the staircase' which is why we chose to film the main character walking up a staircase, or steps in this case.
This screencap links to our production company, as we're called 'WWSD?' which translates to what would she do? I thin in her current situation, our lead female role needs to contemplate what the big 'She' would do.

These various photos were screen capped from the editing timeline, each with different techniques and transitions to differentiate one shot from another.

Website !! (by olivia)

we just started to create our website for our star: Diamond Clark (real name Faye, stage name Diamond) and created her a twitter page to have linked to the website, and also her facebook page too. we have created new pages (merchandise, tour dates etc) and added photos to make the website personalised, and little chats/thoughts from Diamond about her life and opinions. we have tried to be unique by making diamond an edgy, but fun, charismatic and charming girl, and we have added an information page about her so her fans can get to know her.

Make up.costume shots !!

These are a few of the costume and make up shots we chose from the different days of shooting, trying to enhance our star as a charismatic, charming and confident young lady, whom the audience can identify with and understand.

Photo Shoot

Today, myself, May and Olivia found a beautiful location in the centre of our school to take photos for our website and album covers/digi paks for. I feel as though the photo shoot was successful because we were able to get a variety of different still shots/photos for the intended projects. And everybody in my group joined in for the activity, not just one person taking photos and the other standing around. Whilst one member of the group took photos, the other would direct me (or rather Diamond) saying 'okay do this, and flash a smile, look down, look up etc etc' which helped to include every member of the group. We have decided to use these photos to upload onto our group website, and to use one or two for our individual digi paks and album covers. The whole purpose of the photo shoot was to make additions to our website, so that Diamond's target audience can relate to her and get to understand her personality, which we have created her to be charming, playful and charismatic.
